1. Design and Numbing: The procedure begins with your physician analyzing your facial proportions. A strong topical local anesthetic (numbing) cream is applied to the procedure area to reduce the sensation of the needle entry to zero, and you wait for 15-20 minutes.
2. Injection Phase: Using special micro-needles or blunt-tipped fine cannulas (which do not harm blood vessels), the hyaluronic acid filler is placed into the lip tissue with millimetric touches. Since the premium fillers used contain “lidocaine” (a painkiller) within themselves, no pain is felt during the procedure. The process takes an average of 15 minutes.
3. Post-Procedure: You can see the new shape of your lip in the mirror as soon as the application is finished. However, it is perfectly natural to have slightly more swelling (edema) than normal for the first 2-3 days due to tissue trauma.

How long does the effect of lip filler last?
Depending on the brand of hyaluronic acid filler used, the cross-linking structure of the formulation, and the person’s own metabolic rate (the speed at which the body melts the filler), the longevity of lip fillers varies on average between 8 to 12 months. When repeated regularly, the permanence of the filler can extend up to 1.5 years as tissue memory is formed.
Do lip fillers hurt?
Thanks to the highly effective numbing creams applied before the procedure and the local anesthetic (lidocaine) inside the filler material itself, the pain felt is minimal. Most of our patients describe the procedure merely as slight pressure and a “mosquito bite” sensation.
Is it reversible if I don't like the filler I had done?
Yes, the biggest advantage of hyaluronic acid-based fillers is that they are 100% reversible. If the result of the procedure does not satisfy you or asymmetry occurs, a special dissolving enzyme called Hyaluronidase is injected into the lip. This enzyme starts breaking down the filler within seconds, and your lips completely return to their former (pre-procedure) state within 24 hours.
I am very afraid of getting 'Duck Lips', how do you prevent this?
The duck lip appearance occurs as a result of applying the filler to the wrong layer of the lip (toward the muscle above the lip instead of the red zone) or injecting much more filler than the lip can carry at once (e.g., 2-3 syringes).
